I prefer this the other shot .. theyre both great but here i like the depth of the field more and in the other shot the green tones seem oversaturated... here it´s just perfect . but thats my taste

Wow, you melded (okay, I know that's not a word, but I think it's a mixture of weld and mold!) the textures perfectly, the reflection in the water with the texture is soo beautiful! You're amazing! (I hope to buy tons of your prints someday when I get around to it!).

Thank you Shannon :)
In fact this heron stood on the rock for about 5 minutes, so i had time to take lot of photos.
This one is by far the nicer one

Green Herons are incredible for the amount of time they can spend in one position, no matter how precarious! :D

Thank you for the comment,
This bird stood for almost five minutes in the same place, eating i dont know wich little animals in the water.
I so had all the time to 'shoot' it and to improve the composition crouched in the grass (my closes remember it :) )
Glad you liked it

Yes,
When i saw it i though it was a fisher Kingfisher, but my sister (who is A LOT better than me in ornithology told me about the Heron).
It is true that the colours are vibrants but unfortunately, you cannot see it on this picture.
I'll try to improve the birds tone later
Thank you for stopping by :)

Beautiful photo. Even though the bird is the focal point and quite small, the rest of the scene really support the photo as whole. The green is really peaceful.
